CurioCity is an interactive 'place'
where you can explore and discover the science, engineering and technology in your life.
This website features insightful articles that relate to your own interests and activities -- current events, health issues, technology, trends, fashion,
celebrities, music, movies, TV, school and sports. Read any of the features and you'll quickly see that science shapes everything you do.
If you have any burning questions, or if you've ever thought "I wonder why ...", then don't be afraid to Ask Us! Our experts will review your questions and post responses to questions like "How do steroids work and why are they bad for you? Can two people really lock braces while kissing? Why do hockey players tape
their sticks before a game? Can you get tennis elbow
from playing video games?"
Discover the scientist within by trying some of the experiments in The Lab section. You can find out how to add more bounce to a ball or how to make your own rock candy, among other things.
If you're considering a future in the sciences, you can always check out the Careers link to read about smart, young professionals with interesting science-related careers. You'd be surprised at the range of careers that require a science background!
CurioCity was acquired by Let's Talk Science in 2009 and is based on the popular science teen-ezine, CRAM Science, which was created by Amy Cook and Mira Ray in 2006. CurioCity is generously supported by Amgen, Vineland Research and Innovation Centre and the Ontario Trillium Foundation (the latter for development of the CurioCity Youth Community Centre).
